Enter Fastboot mode
- Turn off the phone.
- Press Volume down button and power button together and phone should boot into Bootloader mode.
- Use Volume key to choose FASTBOOT and use Power Button to select it.
Flash Stock Recovery
- Download Fastboot package from the link above (item number 3 in the Useful Link).
- Unzip it and place the Fastboot folder directly under drive C. Make sure that the Fastboot folder is directly under drive C.
- Open your command prompt. (Press Start and type cmd).
- Insert "cd /" and press enter to go back to the root of C drive.
- Insert "cd fastboot" and press enter to browse to the Fastboot folder.
- Insert "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" to start flashing stock recovery file. Don't worry about the recovery.img file as I already include that file in the Fastboot zip package.

Great share! There a lot of tutorials on migrating to custom ROMs but there are few like this that teaches how to get back to stock ROM. I am expecting software developers creating a program that would automatically change to custom ROMs and back to stock in a click of a button, something similar to green poison back then for IOS.

ReplyDeleteHi, I am sorry to say that the HTC One X I got is a 2nd hand phone, and the accelerometer gives some problems. I already send the phone back to the seller as it is still under his personal warranty, but I do not get it back because the seller is not able to fix the problem. I get my money back from the seller. So, it will be hard for me to continue with this tutorial. I am really sorry about that.
